This Valencia native arrived on Ibiza in 1984 and fell head over heels for the island. She likes to tell people that it all started 31 years ago selling G-strings on the beach. She’s come a long way since then.
What sets the Piluca Bayarri brand apart is the inherent feeling of freedom and versatility, made possible by the fabrics and accessories they use. Their inspiration can be traced to the woman of our day, a figure who takes pleasure in feeling beautiful and, of course, to Ibiza.
The materials used —100% cotton— have got a translucent texture which gives the designs a sensual and attractive feel. Every year the company hunts down new sources of inspiration to bring to life the collection’s characteristic lace. Last year, 2016, was the year of Ibiza’s olive tree. This year, trends the designer hopes to mobilise are long, open dresses and capes as well as tunics, shoulder-enhancing minidresses, shorts and skirts, short and long.
Piluca Bayarri has been an Adlib fixture for fifteen years. She sees it as an excellent stage from which to show the world of fashion what Ibiza is all about.
