On May 19th and 20th, Ibiza celebrated the 46th edition of the Adlib Ibiza Runway, where 28 designers showed their SS18 collections. In an incomparable setting such as the Port of Ibiza, specialised national and international media attended the two days of fashion shows, in which the made in Ibiza fashion had the chance to show off whats coming for women, men, brides, jewellery and accessories in 2018.
White and black took the lead at Adlib Ibiza SS18. Long and steamy dresses contrast with refined and avant-garde lines, sexy and romantic touches, transparent materials, embroidery and lace, state-of-the-art fabrics, leather, sparkles and striking touches on an eclectic and creative catwalk that finished its 46th edition with excellent reviews.
On a stage under the starry skies of Ibiza, the first day of the event was made up of catwalks by classic firms such as: Ibimoda and Dira Moda Ibiza, the multicultural ethnicity of Ibiza World Family, the athleisure style in organic cotton by Nanou Couture, Giampaolo Giardina‘s jewels and the colorful Evitaloquepuedas with it fetish piece: the jumpsuit. Monika Maxim proposes exuberant dresses and Ibiza Stones sophisticated two-pieces inspired by the night to dazzle on the dance floor at the best clubs in Ibiza.
Marisa Cela and Virginia Vald dream of fashion in lace and inspiring mix and match pieces whilst K from Kose-Kose Privée creates a thoughtful journey through embroidery and the oriental minimalism of rotund black. Rebeca Ramis presents bathing suits with jackets made with metal pieces and Linnea Ibiza shows off glam and chic. The School of Arts proposes white in forms that interpret the soft volumes of the traditional architecture of the island.
Elisa Pomar‘s gold jewellery and crystals opened the second day of catwalks with a staged theatrical show and surprising corsets by the designer Maya Hansen, putting together a winning combination. The animal world inspires the collection of Vintage Ibiza and, true to its style, geometry and transparencies guide the collection by Jannine Helbling. Denim is the defining fabric of the brand Tanit Jeans, transformed into timeless maxi pieces perfect to have in the wardrobe for special occasions.
Luisa Tur dedicates her SS18 collection to the bride who seeks to express the personality and magic of Ibiza with her dress whilst Beatrice San Francisco explores the expressive possibilities of knitting to enhance with her unpredictable cuts the natural beauty of the woman; principle that also guides the BSF collection for men.
Floral is the title of Piluca Bayarri‘s collection, an explosion of colour and sensuality in its iconic layers, robes and spectacular swimwear. Isabel Castellar and Ichiana Ibiza present romantic and delicate silhouettes and share their passion for transforming the night into a glamorous catwalk with the designer Ivanna Mestres. Espardenyes is the name given to the traditional Ibiza footwear, reinterpreted by the firm Espardenyes Torres, and the flowers set the pace in Siemprimavera and their fun collection “Summer of Love”.
The finishing touch to the second and last day of catwalks was by Tony Bonet, who this year celebrates his 20 year anniversary in the world of fashion. A sublime collection guided by the clear principle that the opposing poles are attracted and a title that is a whole declaration of intentions: “Madness of Love”.
The Adlib Ibiza SS18 collections can be purchased from next September at the international fairs: Momad Madrid, Next Paris and Pure London.
